Spaghetti
The part comes loose mid-print, and the nozzle spends the next three hours printing a bird’s nest into thin air.
The first layer stays anchored from the first minute to the last. The spaghetti never starts.
Warping
Corners curl off the bed as big flat parts cool unevenly. By hour six the part is ruined; you just don’t know it yet.
Grips while the bed is warm and holds edges flat for the whole job, even overnight.
Failed prints

Perfect bottom layers
Glue sticks, roll-on and paint-on adhesives clump and layer up, so the bottom of every print inherits the lumps instead of the plate’s finish.

Prints stuck solid
Scrapers gouge PEI sheets, snap thin parts, and occasionally find a knuckle on the way through.
Self-releases as the bed cools to about 30 °C. Parts pop off in your hand, no scraper needed.
The blob of death
A detached first layer clumps molten filament around the nozzle until it swallows the hotend, tearing out thermistors and wiring, with repairs running into hundreds of dollars.
Keep the part anchored and the blob never gets its start: the cheapest hotend protection there is.

How to use
Four steps. Three seconds of work.
Clean
Wash the build plate with warm soapy water and let it dry.
Spray
One even coat across the build area, from 15–20 cm away. Let it dry for a few minutes.
Print
The first layer stays put for the whole job.
Release
As the plate cools to about 30 °C, the part lets go on its own. Between jobs, just re-spray the patch under the last part.
